John P. Talbot
Practice Focus
Jack Talbot’s practice is concentrated in litigation, commercial law and insurance. In the commercial area, he has represented banks and other lenders and litigated a variety of contract and business issues, including finance, guaranty and debt matters, sales and leasing disputes, construction claims, agricultural and real estate issues and insurance coverage questions. His defense practice has included negligence and product liability cases, as well as workers’ compensation trials and appeals. He has also handled appeals in the Arkansas Court of Appeals, Arkansas Supreme Court, Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Professional Background
Mr. Talbot joined the Bridges firm upon completion of law school in 1997. He is a member of the American Bar Association and its Litigation Section, as well as the Defense Research Institute. He is also a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, serving on the Jurisprudence and Law Reform Committee, the Uniform Laws Committee and as a chapter author and contributor to Handling Appeals in Arkansas (2007 Ed.).
Civic
A native of Pine Bluff, Mr. Talbot has served as President of the Downtown Pine Bluff Rotary Club, on the Board of Directors and as Government Division Chairman of the Pine Bluff Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of Trustees of Trinity Episcopal School.
